Being that it was about 8 degrees here yesterday, SteveKam and I elected not to go to NYC as planned. (There was a certain motorcycle show that someone was itching to attend, but he decided it was just too darn cold.)
Well, turns out it was for the best. SteveKam was sick as a dog (although, my dog is rarely sick, so I’m not sure this is a good comparison) all day – he slept until about 3pm!
I dutifully stayed home to take care of him, which really just meant an hourly visit to the bedroom to supply him with a kiss on the forehead and ask (again) if he needed anything. But, I felt way too guilty to leave him in the house languishing in pain while I ran around being a social butterfly.
So, I had a lot of spare time on my hands. 🙂 I watched the last disc of Lost Season 4, in preparation for the big premiere this week, and kept my hands busy by working away on the Licorice Whip sweater.
Here’s where we stand:
Sleeve stitches have been set aside and in this photo, I am about to begin on the decreases. In actuality, I kept chugging on last night as SteveKam lay on the couch. I cranked out 3 out of the 4 decrease repeats. So, one more repeat, some stockinette, and then on the increases!
Such a simple pattern, but it’s exactly the kind of project I need to get back into knitting. Pretty close to instant gratification. 🙂 I can’t wait for this bad girl to be done. Already considering my next sweater… mayhaps a February Lady Sweater? Apropos, no?
